Carbon Townsville Sustainability Benefit Fund

The Carbon Townsville Sustainability Benefit Fund will be a fund that supports: research, education and initiatives relating to the abatement or offsetting of carbon. These include but are not limited to:

• energy efficiency
• renewable energy
• biofuels
• demand side management

It is envisioned that this support will be provided via the funding of grants.

The Fund obtains finance for these grants from various sources but mainly from the ongoing donations received from Prime Carbon Pty Ltd. Prime Carbon donates to the Fund 5 cents from every Carbon Credit sold that was created within the Townsville Region and 1 cent from every Carbon Credit sold that was created outside the Townsville region.

Sustainable Townsville will act as the Trustee of the Fund.
